Malachi O’Rourke spends his years as president of the Disciples of the Road cleaning up his father’s mess, grieving a broken heart, and protecting the men under his charge.
Sawyer Malone hasn’t had it easy either since joining the Scorpions. While paying back a personal debt for his club seems gratifying on the surface, he ends up sacrificing way more than he bargained for.
When Mal recognizes that Sawyer is struggling, he offers him needed support. Something about the man’s quiet strength stirs deeply inside him. Sawyer knows he shouldn’t rely on the solace Mal provides, but he’s been the only ray of light in an otherwise bleak few months. So after a tender moment passes between the men, they simply chalk it up to their newfound friendship.
Besides, no one will ever measure up to Mal’s former old lady and Sawyer’s just been through his own tragic ordeal. But when they’re thrust together for a weekend event involving both of their clubs, they can no longer deny their attraction. Except time-honored loyalties and hard-fought tradition will not only force them to risk their standing—but also gamble with their hearts.

Other books in the series
Roadmap To Your Heart is one of my all time favorite series, and The Deepest Blue was one of my 2016 picks for favorites of the year. So when I saw Christina Lee was adding another book to the series, even a short story, I was overjoyed.
The Faintest Spark brings Mal and Sawyer together after working closely in an undercover operation. Mal was married previously, but has been a widow for quite awhile after losing his wife to addiction so in some ways he feels pulled to make sure the members in his club stay safe and don't fall into the traps of drugs and alcohol.
However, with Sawyer, he realizes those same feelings of protection also involve a lot more than brotherly love. He misses his wife, the companionship, the camaraderie, and having someone to share his life with. Being around Sawyer has opened his eyes to the possibility he can have those things again. He just never realized he would want to have them with a man.
And here was where the story really excelled for me. The author, at no time, takes away the love Mal had for his wife but shows how Mal is forced to open his eyes and accept the love in front of him, the love from another man, and accept it for what it is.
They come from two different motorcycle clubs—retaliation is possible—should they continue to sneak around for small exchanges of time together when they want a lot more? Or will they be accepted as two men together minding their own business?
You know how hard it's been not thinking about you this morning?
Your eyes and your hands."
My thumb swiped his bottom lip.
Christina Lee writes sexy, stimulating, spine-tingling stories and The Faintest Spark super exceeds what I was hoping to gain. It's fast paced with an edge and a little bit of suspense but the main element is the sexy and hot alpha manhandling, toe-curling scenes that take place. A must read and a great edition to the series.
