AUTHOR: DAN SKINNER

BLURB: He's a middle-aged, newly single, gay photographer starting life over. Along comes a freshly out nineteen-year-old, irreverent free spirit who wants to be his apprentice. Mismatched by more than a generation, what could possibly go wrong?
And it's AWESOME!
Dirk's First Time. Every gay boy has his first experience. Usually it's a memorable, exciting personal time of discovery and intimacy between two young people. But two comic book characters?
Is it horseplay or Cosplay?
The Boy At The Gym. First impressions can be deceiving. Sometimes that boy in the baggy clothes, talking to himself in the gym isn't as shy as he appears. Sometimes there's a deviant imp lurking beneath that freckled mask of innocence. Beware the Trojan Nerd!
Priceless!! If you want to spend a couple hours with a smile on your face, random moments of laughing out loud, sputtering and snorting, pick up Dan Skinner's newest series, The Misadventures of Doc and Dirk, That Darn Muse.
If you follow Dan on Facebook you can catch snippets of what is now being put into a short story series, That Darn Muse, but if you are like me, an hour on Facebook turns into all day and nothing gets done so having this book is awesome.
Volume One starts with the beginning of how Dirk and Doc meet and it goes from there and it is eye opening, hysterical, educational, enlightening, and the list goes on, but I think most of all, for me, it's beautiful.
An older man, starting over, afraid to trust, not looking for anything or anyone other than his inner self but he finds a young man who needs a role model, someone who he can learn from and look up to but he also teaches Doc a few things along the way.
An incredible, laugh out loud, magnificent story that I'm looking forward to see where their journey leads. A shout out to Dirk's mom who is a true inspiration and a role model to all mother's out there. Go get this book!! It's a must read. 5 Stars
