#Review #Release Day • Wes' Denial (Tease & Denial #2) by Joseph Lance Tonlet + Giveaway Prize Pack

Wes has spent his life looking for that one special guy who will understand and love him—all of him. From his tender vanilla side, to his darker debauched side.

Throughout high school, his successful career in the Marines, and as a BDSM Dom, he’s remained confident his partner is out there waiting to be found.

However, several events shake his normally unflappable self–assurance.

And, even after he finds Grif, will his past catch up with him and possibly drive his soul mate away?

Reading Wes’ Denial… Wow… So many emotions and feelings you go through, as the reader, on this journey as we watch in on Wes and Grif and the life they have made together.

Just like with Grif’s Toy, Book One, Wes’ Denial spans many years taking the reader back and forth, only this time, it is from Wes’ point of view. We watch Wes through college, his military days as a US Marine, and a little later in life as he trains to be a Master Dom.

During these years, he meets a few people who impact his life quite heavily. He also learns quite a bit about himself that he didn’t know. And, unfortunately, some life lessons weren’t necessarily things he was proud of, but they did affect him in a big way and changed him, although I think subconsciously he wasn’t even aware of the depth until later on.

This is a story about life, and love, most of all, but everything is not always rainbows and sunshine. There are some hard lessons, rough times, some brutal and some raw, and your heart will hurt and you will feel the pain.

In Grif’s Toy, I wasn’t real fond of Wes and his treatment of Grif and their kink play until I came to realize that Grif loved every minute of it. That his kink WAS the way Wes was handling him, and that it was okay because that was what they loved and wanted... both of them.

So, in Wes’ Denial I had a new respect and admiration for Wes and his ability to read and understand Grif and know when to push and when to back off. There is so much love between these two men and that is never more apparent and evident than it is in this book.

Their love is already established and their foundation secure in Wes’ Denial and some of their most beautiful moments are when they expose their inner selves to the other and share their pleasures.

Joseph has written two complex and very intricate characters that complement each other beautifully. He has this way of serenading the reader with his writing that pulls you in and as each new chapter in Wes’ life unfolds, you as the reader, are even more intrigued by him.

The journey, however, will leave you with a magnitude of feelings you have to rationalize for yourself.  There is a lot that happens in Book Two and so much that can’t really be talked about without giving spoilers but you will be smiling from ear to ear one minute and bawling profusely the next.

The writing is so vivid making each character stand out more as if they need any help. Truly a remarkable book, a remarkable series that while it will not be for everyone, I would implore everyone to at least give it a try for the experience. 5 Stars
