Live for Love, An All Cocks story book 5
Beauregard Boudreaux is a native of New Orleans Louisiana, born and raised there, he never thought he would ever stray far from home. The untimely death of his first love left Beau lost, adrift, looking for a place as far away from the pain as possible. Initially, he came to New York to visit a friend, the city growing on him, so he decided to stay. His law degree comes in handy at the LGBT Center he runs, but his bar is his baby.

William Richards grew up in Chicago, his family oddly normal and very accepting of his sexuality. Modeling paid the bills, gigs across the country as a model, male entertainer and a personal trainer giving him the opportunity to see the world. He hasn’t experienced loss or pain as Beau has, the common denominator between them is the loneliness. As All Cocks big, brooding bottom Connor, William has found friendship, family and an outlet for his craving to be more submissive than men of his size and stature usually are.

The two men are perfect for each other, their tastes and lives align and the writing seems to be on the wall. But Beau has a secret he shares with a choice few, a secret that not only threatens to keep them apart, it’s deadly. Determined to keep a wall between himself and William, Beau fights the attraction, pushes William away every time he steps closer. Can one man’s determination and strength be enough to tear down a wall that holds back decades of pain and darkness? And if he can, will either of them survive the flood?

Disclaimer: This book is the fictional story of a man living with HIV. I have put a lot of time and effort into presenting this story as true to fact as possible, without going into gory or gruesome detail. If this subject is a trigger for you, you may want to skip this read. But my hope is that you give Beau a chance to capture your heart as he has mine, and William’s.

Live for Love is book five in the All Cocks stories and I believe it's my favorite so far. The author opens the story taking the reader immediately back into Beau's past to a time of heartbreak and loss. Losing the love of his life to HIV has taken a heavy toll on Beau and he's carried a lot of pain and guilt over the years because of it.

Present day, years later, he still carries the pain along with his own diagnosis of HIV and it's like he has sequestered himself to living a life of solitude for fear of what others may think if they knew the truth. He does talk to Tristan through counselling but of course that's not the same as having someone close to you to confide in and be there for you when the nightmares take over.

But, it's not for lack of trying on William's part because he does try to get Beau's attention but other than a kiss in the storage room one night Beau doesn't make it easy on him. Of course, William has no idea Beau carries around so much baggage and he thinks he's just playing hard to get.

Well, when you want something or someone bad enough you have to keep at it, and that's what William does. He keeps inching his way into Beau's life little by little and over time they start developing a true friendship. Their romance is a very slow burn because Beau is terrified something could go wrong to the point he gets sick over it.

When it's obvious William isn't easily scared away there's nothing left to do but for Beau to be honest and upfront and it's emotional, I'll just warn ya. Beau has an amazing personality and a huge heart and William is the perfect counter-part for him. So, once they are on the same page it's like a new person has been reborn because Beau can finally breathe.

It's obvious, the author, as she has with every book in this series, spent a lot of time on research and information to deliver the best story to her ability as it shows in every word. She has taken on serious topics and subject matter and through her characters she has shown ways or offered suggestions that hopefully could help someone that may need it.

I love how Tristan and through his counselling services always finds ways to get important facts mentioned. If you are new to this series you will find that the backdrop to these books are a porn studio where the characters work but away from work they have lives and problems just like everyone else.

A beautiful and heartwarming and yes emotional journey but very much worth the read. 5 Stars.
