“This book is a great example of why I love M/M romance books.” - Goodreads Reviewer for As the Leaves Fall
“This is a fun, easy read that will keep you entertained all the way through.” - Alpha Book Club for As the Leaves Fall
“When I finish reading this the first thing to come to my mind was WOW this was really really good!” - Goodreads Reviewer for As the Ice Melts
RJ started as a reader and eventually made the progression to reviewing. It wasn't until two men popped into her thoughts, insisting on telling her their story that she started to write. It started with one scene. A hot and dirty one in the shower.RJ's initial thought was if she could write their scene then they'd shut up and allow her to concentrate on other aspects of the day. That shower scene was 3000 words long and three hours of work. But they didn't shut up. They told her their entire story and she didn't sleep for days. Sometimes she couldn't keep up with what they were telling her and she had to keep a notebook by the bed.Whilst RJ was writing their story a side character decided he needed his story told too. Then other characters followed suit. You see the problem? If RJ ever wants to sleep again then she needs to write.RJ is a wife and a mother to two boys. Even her dog is a boy.She is surrounded by males.RJ writes emotionally charged, character driven romances. Her guys will always get their HEA, but it will never be easy.
I love As the Leaves Fall with Aiden and Noah. What starts out as a little eye googling between two strangers using the same transportation, quickly turns into partners on the job when they end up at the same company.
Aiden is an architect at the family's business who is interviewing for an assistant. He's caught off guard when the handsome stranger from the London Tube is the same person waiting to be interviewed by him. Even though he hesitates, briefly, for his own reasons, he knows Noah is the right man for the job.
Noah has finally landed his dream job and it doesn't hurt that his boss is gorgeous, sexy, and flirting with him. Noah feels the spark and the chemistry between them, but Aiden continues to go from hot to cold in a blink of an eye.
Aiden has his own reasons for his change in demeanor and he promised his uncle and himself he would never have another office relationship since the last one nearly destroyed him and his family's business. How hard can it be to act professional and keep distance from Noah?
Turns out, it is very hard but Noah is tired of Aiden's mood changes and he's threatening to find other employment. Between miscommunication, nosy office employees, and ex's, their relationship is put to the test. When the time comes to announce their relationship, will they each be fired, overlook the office rules, or will the green eyed monster seek vengeance?
As the Leaves Fall is a fast-paced, low angst, story that sucks you right in. The infatuation the two characters have for each other soon turn their emotions into love that neither can avoid. There was quite a bit of do we/don't we going on which was starting to get a bit tiresome for not only me, but for Noah, as well.
Luckily, Aiden gets his head and heart in the right place and they become a formidable team inside the office and even more so outside of it. They complement each other perfectly, and their connection was sizzling with romance. A very enjoyable story with a lot of feel good moments that pulled on your heartstrings. 4 Stars from me.
