ARC REVIEW: ★★CHARMED (DEMON GATE SERIES)#5★★ BY NICHOLAS BELLA
DEMON GATE SERIES #5
Genre: Paranormal/Dark Erotic/Horror/LGBT
Length: 143 Pages
Publisher: Nicholas Bella
Published: January 27, 2016
"Just when I think I'm getting a better understanding of what I am, something else comes by and knocks me on my ass."
My morning started very eventful. A rendezvous with Adriel is more than a notion. He literally wore me out, but he also made me come to terms with a lot about myself I was still trying to deny. Truth is, I wanted Raphael-powerfully so. However, I wasn't so sure about how much of that was my own desires and what part the Agoto inside me was playing in my attraction. In reality, I don't think it mattered. On top of a complicated love life, I still have to stop a triumvirate of demons from opening a portal and letting an even bigger, more badass demon through into my world. Time was running out and I needed help if I have any hope of succeeding.
Warning: This serial contains strong adult content not meant for sensitive eyes. The novelettes in this serial will be filled with dark, twisted, raunchy and steamy scenes between powerful, sexy men that will either offend you or get ya revved up. This series will not be pulling any punches, and it won’t apologize for hurting your feelings, either. You’ll find no fluff and ruffles here. These demons play hard and they fight dirty. There are approximately 51,900 words in this novel.

Charmed, Book 5 in the Demon Gate Series, by Nicholas Bella brings quite a few revelations and eye-opening new details. This is not a standalone book and it is imperative they are read in order. If you love paranormal stories then you definitely don’t want to miss out on any of them.
Brian has come a long way in a short amount of time. He’s been holding back showing any emotions towards Raphael but, finally, he admits that he does have feelings for his mate. I’m pretty sure Adriel played a big part in convincing him but he no longer tries to hide it. And, wow… they have amazing chemistry together and take advantage of every situation to become better acquainted and make their bond stronger.
Brian has a lot of things on his plate to take care of. His sister is introduced and she has some problems of her own that big brother takes it upon himself to clean up. It was awesome to see how much Brian loves his sister and only wants the best for her. I have a feeling she will be playing a bigger role in this series down the road.
Brian still battles between his human emotions and what his demon side is telling him to do. And, he’s not even sure if he wants that to change. Holding onto some of his human morals isn’t necessarily a bad thing
Working for the society seems to be a never ending job that Brian receives little thanks and no appreciation for his efforts. Thank goodness Raphael agrees to help him look for the demon portal because that situation turned bad very fast. There are some horrible demons out there and they don’t care what they have to do to get their way.
Each story in this series continues to get better and better. I was glued to the pages during Brian and Raphael’s scenes because their sexual encounters are raw, intense, and powerful.
"I want you so badly." -Brian
Now that Brian admits he has feelings for Raphael, it only makes their time together that much more explosive. And, Raphael is being a better mate and more attentive towards Brian as their bond continues to get stronger.
Sex with Raphael was always fantastic, but this time, it was indescribable. -Brian
They both have some hang-ups and beliefs that they need to get over and it looks as though they are trying too, but it takes time.
New demons are introduced in this installment, Brian is finally accepting his role in Raphael’s life and as a demon, he is getting more training, and their love life is hotter than ever.
Nicholas’ originality and resourcefulness continues to evolve with each episode. For me, this is the best one so far. The writing is clean, the plot is interesting and captures your full attention, the world-building is incredible, and the author’s imagination is unfreakingbelievable. 5 Stars from me.
