Happy Holidays and Happy Reading from MM Book Escape!!
A sexy new M/M romance from New York Times Bestselling author Tessa Bailey
When CEO Renner Bastion walks into a room, everyone keeps their distance. Well, everyone but the sarcastic, tattooed, Boston-bred security guard whose presence has kept Renner in New Jersey longer than intended. As if the unwanted attraction isn’t unsettling enough, Renner finds out his protector isn’t as unavailable as originally thought.
Milo Bautista just came out to his wealthy, ultra-confident boss, a man he secretly respects and admires…in more ways than he’ll admit. Worldly, experienced Renner would never look in his direction, let alone share some of that confidence he wears like a cloak, so Milo has set his sights on someone else to be his first.
Until Renner offers him private lessons in seduction...
I haven't even had time to review this, properly, because it just came out December 5th and I read it on the 6th and here it is on the 7th and I'm saying it's one of my favorites this year!!!. That's because it absolutely, positively, is one of the best books I've read this year!!
Wound Tight by Tessa Bailey is the fourth book in her Made in Jersey series but it can easily be read as a standalone since, obviously, I haven't read the first three and had no problems. They, also, are M/F and by the author's notes at the end. . . this also concludes the series. Bummer because wow—this author rocks M/M!!!
Here's just a brief overview of my thoughts:
Milo Bautista is the security guard for Renner Bastion and he takes that job very seriously, very. He not only provides security for the plant but he includes watching out for the boss also—probably more so. But, Milo has more ulterior motives than just giving security—he is looking for inner security—Renner exudes that in extreme.
Hoping he can learn from him, he watches, and he confides in Renner that he's attracted to men but he doesn't know how to approach, so Renner. . .reluctantly agrees to mentor.
It's push and pull between them, from day one. Milo is arrogant and sarcastic with a wink thrown in, and secretly that throws the—hard-core and gruff boss—off kilter and gets the bees buzzing in his belly.
Their attraction is mind blowing explosive. I was literally glued to my kindle and ended up burning dinner because I kept saying. . ."one more line, one more line" Well, the meatloaf was little black and crunchy but damn. . .this book is HOT!!
My new favorite line, I think ever, lol
