BLURB: Greg is worried about his best friend Kyle. Kyle's life seems to be spiraling out of control.
Greg doesn't mind picking up the pieces, but his normally smart, ambitious and good-looking friend seems more distracted than usual after his last break-up. And he's starting to get annoyed at Greg trying to lend him a hand.
What Greg doesn't realize is that Kyle is keeping something from him... and it could change both of their lives forever.
REVIEW: If you are looking for a feel good story and if you like *FREE reads, I would definitely recommend picking up this delight.
Although Switch, by L.M. Langley, is not her first published book, she is a new author to me and I really enjoyed this very sweet and fast paced story about Kyle and Greg, who are best friends, and who go about—at least one of them drinking in excess and the other using coded text messages—to driving each other crazy and keeping secrets from each other.
Kyle has no luck in the dating department and Greg is always there to pick up the pieces of his broken heart. Kyle wants to talk to Greg about his secrets but he gets all twisted up and backs out. Greg wanders if he should tell Kyle about his secrets but then thinks it wouldn't make a difference. These two have been friends for a long time and sometimes they can't see what's right in front of them.
This story can be read in fifteen to thirty minutes and will easily put a smile on your face. I thought the author showed the reader just enough of what we needed to get a good feel for both Kyle and Greg and I even felt a little emotional at one point which is saying something for the book length. Be true to yourself would be the message I got from this great short story.
A perfect lunch time read that will reset your mood to happy and cheerful to finish out your work day. 4.5 Stars
