Théoden: Tonight is the night I break through Dante's last wall. The one he's been trying to keep fortified as he struggles to resist the temptation of the life I'm offering him. I had planned to enjoy doing this. What I did not plan for, is to discover that a vampire in my city was murdered. I have my best on it and when I find out who crossed me, they will suffer a fate worse than death.

Noel: I had a revelation tonight that literally changed my entire world, and I believe for the better. At least, that's what I hope. On top of that megaton bomb being dropped, I find out that a vampire was killed in Marco's district. I'd hate to be the person Marco is hunting for, the stupid bastard.

Deacon: With my plan fully underway, now it just becomes a game of waiting before I can make another move. But that isn't the most significant thing that's happened today. I've finally discovered my mate's true weakness and it's the same as his greatest strength. His deepest desire and it’s everything I'm capable and willing to fulfill.

Josef: The last thing I needed to hear this morning is that one of my wolves didn't show up for their duty. My wolves don't slack in any way because they know I will not tolerate disobedience. What’s more, when I get wind of a dead body being discovered in the dragons' warehouse district, well, that sort of thing peaks my interest because I don't believe in coincidences.

Warning: This serial contains strong adult content not meant for sensitive eyes. The novelettes in this serial will be filled with dark, twisted, raunchy and steamy scenes between powerful, sexy men that will either offend you or get ya revved up. This series will not be pulling any punches, and it won’t apologize for hurting your feelings, either. You’ll find no fluff and ruffles here. The vampires are not misunderstood, hopeless romantics looking for love. The werewolves are not cute and cuddly and the dragons aren’t the ones from your childhood. This is NOT a romance. There are approximately 45,100 words in this novelette.

my review

Retribution starts off Season 4, The Kingdom of Ara, with all the supes in an uproar. Whether a vampire, wolf, or dragon, it appears that no one is safe from accusation.

Someone is killing and placing the blame on Théoden and his sons. We know from the last episode that Deacon has put his plan into action, and it appears that placing the blame on the vampires, as anticipated, is working without fail. I admit to being very curious as to what Deacon has planned long-term.

Deacon – Deacon proves that he is definitely someone to fear. He is callous and manipulative when he needs to be but, he truly seems to want a solid relationship with Eli, his mate.

When Deacon comes home smelling like sex, Elijah is pissed and rightly so. I love watching Eli push Deacon to the point that he has to take a step back and reevaluate his thinking. Eli does not allow his Alpha to bully him which surprises me sometimes but it’s also exciting to see him demand his rights as a mate should be entitled too. I wonder if he realizes how much his bratty behavior turns Deacon on.

When push comes to shove between these two strong-willed wolves, Deacon sees something in Eli that he plans on using against him, or with him, to the fullest. Eli is discovering these new kinks at the same time, and even though he may be embarrassed by them, Deacon will not allow that for long as it seems to bond them even more.

Noel – I think it’s safe to say that Noel has finally reached his full potential as a son with Théoden. Under the heat of passion, Noel makes a revelation that was unexpected and his first reaction is to play it off as a mistake. Fearing Théoden’s reaction at his outburst has him cowering slightly but Théoden could not be more pleased.

Marco has finally accepted Noel as a true brother, however, he never fails to remind Noel that he is his superior, in all matters, and it would behoove him to remember it…always. He may accept him, he may even like him, but he will also break him if he forgets his place.

Dante – Dante appears to have come a long way in his training, but there are still many things that Théoden has to teach him. Once he accepts his position, fully and wholeheartedly, he is going to be of great value to the House of Théoden and the vampire community.

As for the brothers, they are already loving Dante and some of his skills. He may be slow in grasping his duties as a hybrid but he caught on really fast on how to deliver pleasure. I love the moments they share in the early hours of the morning when everyone seems to be loving everyone and everything that happens while still in bed.

Of course, someone usually ends up using their mouth for words instead of actions pissing someone off. Starting the day with punishment… pain… or pleasure is a choice they all have. They just have to choose wisely.

Josef – Josef is starting to make more appearances in the supe world, but we still don’t know that much about him. I can’t help but feel he is a wolf who may have been overlooked by the other packs by not realizing his full potential. He may be very young in appearances seeing as he was turned in his teenage years however, I think he is going to prove to definitely be someone to watch out for.

As the story comes to a close, Josef’s next move will be meeting up with Théoden to discuss the deaths of not only a wolf but a vampire. All of the evidence and suspicions lead to Théoden and his house, just as planned, by a conniving wolf. I can’t wait to see how this plays out. I feel pretty confident that someone’s head will be on a platter waiting to be devoured like a Thanksgiving turkey.

Retribution is full of twists and turns that has the potential to take the plot in many directions. There seems to be a lot more sex in this installment compared to the others but I also think that is due to everyone finally being who and where they are meant to be. The supes thrive and feed on semen. It is, for the most part, their life-force, along with blood so the natural progression is sex. Lots and lots of sex. Lol

This is the beginning of Season 4 and the sixteenth episode. In each of these installments, Nicholas continues to push the story forward taking us places we never knew. He continues to put out fresh and enticing dialog keeping the story just as interesting and addictive as the beginning. As the story gets deeper and more dangerous we will continue to follow every word.
